At Rialto, we celebrate with a fitting film. As part of our summer program Hot Town, Summer in the City, we will be screening the iconic cult classic The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert this summer.
The film follows drag queens Mitzi, Bernadette, and Felicia on a colorful road trip through the Australian desert. In their bright pink bus Priscilla, they travel to Alice Springs for a performance. With extravagant costumes, sharp humor, and a heartwarming story, the film has become a beloved classic and a milestone in queer cinema.
To get in the Pride spirit, we will welcome attendees of the screenings with a welcome drink. For those looking for an extra festive evening, make sure to mark Friday, August 7 in your calendar. We will be going all out with a special Pride edition featuring a party, a DJ, and cocktails afterwards.
