Are you an undiscovered film talent and would you like to see your own film on the big screen? Then submit it for Rialto for Short, a program that gives emerging filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work to the public and film professionals.

A Platform for New Talent

Rialto stands for innovation, and we want to provide new, yet undiscovered talent the chance to present their films. Are you such a talent? Do you make films, music videos, commercials, or anything else? And would you like to see your own film on the big screen? Then submit it for Rialto for Short, a program that gives emerging filmmakers the chance to showcase their work to the public and film professionals. 


How Does It Work?

  • Before the announced deadline for the upcoming edition, submit your completed film. All films from all genres are welcome;
  • A jury of film professionals will select three or four films from all submissions, with special attention to filmmakers who have not previously shown their work;
  • On the night of the screening, always on a Tuesday evening at 19:30, the audience, the jury, and a special guest will decide who the winner of that evening is.


Your submission must meet the following criteria:

  • The film is no longer than 20 minutes;
  • If the film is not in Dutch or English, please provide it with Dutch or English subtitles;
  • The film must have been produced between 2024 and 2026;
  • Please submit the film with a Vimeo or YouTube link;
  • You or another crew member must be present on the film night to answer questions about the film.
