Rialto offers new, undiscovered talent the chance to showcase their work to audiences and industry professionals, and to screen their films on the big screen. And we’ve done just that again this season with the ‘Rialto for Short’ programme.
This Tuesday evening at 7.30 pm, the final of the eighth season is on the programme; the filmmakers will present their work to the audience and the jury. And, as always, there will be a Q&A with the filmmaker after each film.
The finalists are:
Scherpschutters – dir. Camille Fabius, Kai Reijnaert & Ole Koch (winners of the first edition)
Eskimo – dir. Orson Levy-Langeveld (winner of the second edition)
Welp – dir. Abel van Essen (winner of the third edition)
The jury consists of Safirah Dijkstra (including dramaturg at VPRO-HUMAN), Hugo Emmerzael (film and music critic) and Stefan Malešević (filmmaker and editor at De Balie). They will watch the films and, together with the audience and a special guest, decide which film is the best of this season. The evening will be hosted by Wayne de Boer.
At the end of the evening, the very best film will win a prize of €2,000, made possible by the VEVAM Foundation.
