Neighbors' Open Afternoon Rialto Silo

A first look at Rialto Silo

Last Wednesday, May 27, we opened the doors of Rialto Silo for a special neighbors' open afternoon. Although we are still actively building, local residents got a sneak peek at the place where films will soon be shown.

What is Rialto Silo?

On Zeeburgereiland, in the Sporthelden neighborhood, we are working on Rialto Silo: a new film theater with five screens. There will be space for film, but also for hospitality, education, and other activities. And on the top floor: a rooftop terrace with a view over the city. We will open our doors this fall.

Neighbors' Open Afternoon Rialto Silo

During the neighbors' open afternoon, local residents could freely walk in and explore the building. We gave tours, shared our plans, and engaged in conversations with the community. It was great to see how much interest there was.

The reactions were enthusiastic. Many people expressed excitement for the opening (“we can’t wait”) and for the role Rialto Silo will play in the neighborhood. “Finally a bit of life close to home.” That leaves us wanting more.
