Oh no! Dikkie Dik has lost his favorite stuffed animal, Bear. Where could the little creature have gone? Together with his best friend, Poes Muis, Dikkie Dik sets out to find Bear. During their search, they make lots of surprising discoveries: a bed can also be a trampoline, you can do acrobatic tricks on the clothesline, and what about that rock in the garden? It turns out to be a turtle! But Bear is still nowhere to be found, so the search moves on to more distant, unfamiliar areas, such as the meadow, the forest, and the beach. Animals live there, too, and they’re more than happy to help.

The first Dikkie Dik picture book was published in 1978, intended to be read aloud on the popular children’s show Sesame Street. Since then, the adventures of the big, red tomcat have been a recurring and beloved part of the show. In 2024, Dikkie Dik made his big-screen debut, and this film is now showing again, featuring the voice of Burny Bos.
