Chyna is the envy of everyone; not only is she the best stylist at the hair salon she runs with her sisters, she is also the girlfriend of Raoul, the man many women covet. It all seems so perfect, but appearances can be deceiving, because Raoul is starting to behave more and more violently in their relationship. His overly forward behaviour makes her realise she must break up with him, not only for her own safety, but above all for that of her little daughter, Sugar. But one thing is painfully clear: Raoul won’t let her go just like that.
In this gripping love drama – the feature film debut of director Amira Duynhouwer, based on her own screenplay – the central question is how to escape from a toxic, violent relationship. Chyna is played by singer/rapper Delany Lepelblad, in her first acting role, whilst Daniël Kolf portrays the aggressive and possessive Raoul.
