Les enfants vont bien

Jeanne is a successful and dedicated businesswoman and has therefore never felt the need to have children. Together with her partner Nicole, she leads a pleasant life. One day, her younger sister Suzanne turns up at her door, accompanied by her two young children, Gaspard and Margot. Jeanne and Suzanne have long since grown apart, so the visit seems like an attempt to breathe new life into the relationship between the two sisters. The next morning, however, Suzanne has disappeared, leaving her children behind. The search for Suzanne yields nothing, so Jeanne suddenly has to take on the responsibility of looking after her nephew and niece. This forces her to reflect on the future she had envisaged for herself.

With his third film, the still-young French director Nathan Ambrosioni has once again delivered a nuanced and sensitive family drama. He wrote the screenplay himself, and the lead role is played by Camille Cottin.
