Party-loving Peter’s life is turned upside down when a 10-year-old boy suddenly turns up on his doorstep: his son. Is Peter ever going to be mature enough to be a father?
Together with his business partner Sophie, Peter, who is in his thirties, has been organising wild underground parties for the gay scene in New York for years. For Peter, it’s a great excuse to party hard himself, whilst it’s Sophie who does all the work. Peter has never really grown up. One day, an old acquaintance turns up at his door with 10-year-old Arlo: his son. But he’s never slept with a woman, so how is this possible? Then he remembers a very drunken threesome from long ago, which also involved an English woman – Arlo’s mother. She has since passed away, so Peter suddenly finds himself responsible for a child. Will it all work out?

Club Kid was one of the big surprises at the recent Cannes Film Festival. In this feature film debut, which he wrote himself, actor and writer Jordan First paints a portrait of queer life in New York that is as sharp as it is funny, yet it is above all a moving tribute to fatherhood. Firstman himself plays the lead role in this audience favourite.
